Here's this week's photo of the week...it's kind of symbolic as this is what we did today and will be doing for the next month.

On the photography front, it was kind of a rough week. My camera's zoom broke and so once I zoom in on something, I need to turn off the camera to zoom out.

We ran a half marathon on Saturday but since the camera wasn't working too well, I didn't bring it with. I was planning on taking it with a taking a mile by mile shot, but got a bit nervous on how I would hold up. Anyway the run was fun - I wish I had pictures. Erika pinned a bunch of pictures of Robert De Niro on her and ran as Mucho De Niro. I grew a goatee and shaved my beard - leaving just the mustache, got a Detroit Tigers hat and a Hawaiian shirt and was Magnum P.I. Silly Andy was also in a Hawaiian shirt, a fake mustache (the guy loves fake mustaches) and was Magnum as well. There will be more pictures later.

We've accepted an offer on our house and we've found a house. The scheduled move date is November 30.

This weekend, Abbie, Erika, Maggie, Adrian and I pilled in the car and drove up to Grand Marais to see Grandma and Grandpa. We got up to Grandma and Grandpa's late friday. Grandpa wasn't there when we got there as he was watching the UMD Bulldogs beat the St. Cloud State Huskies 2 - 1.
We got up, had a good breakfast and Erika and I went for a run along Lake Superior while Grandma, Grandpa and Abbie made cookies. Then we went to Magney State Park and hiked the 178 stairs to the falls. The water was flowing extremely fast as they have had record rain falls the last couple months. Abbie lead the charge up the stairs on the way back! We stopped at Paradise Beach on Lake Superior and tried to throw all the rocks back in the water. I took the dogs over to Pincushion trails for a quick walk. Grandma made a great dinner and the adults played a couple of games of yahtzee.
We got up and went to Cascade River and hiked up to those falls. Again, the water was unbelievable. We then went to the Colvill Fire Department where one of Dad's friends showed Abbie the equipment and gave her a doll. Here are the photos.

Here's this week's photo of the week. It comes from the Superior Hiking Trail where we volunteered to work on the trail this weekend. There was six of us in our group of friends and about 25 total people. We camped at Korkki Nordic Ski Area and they served us great breakfasts and dinners. It got down to 35 degrees last night, but we had enough layers, that we were toasty warm in our tent. One of the cool things was on Saturday night, the Arrowhead Astronomical Society of Duluth was at the ski area to look through their telescopes. They let us look at Jupiter, a comet, a couple of galaxies and the alien (a cool star cluster that looks like an alien).

Congratulations to Silly Andy on a great run today in the Twin Cities 10 mile. Abbie, Erika and I got up early today and had a ball watching - even though it was hot and humid to just watch. Here are some photos...
