Riley Robert Hughes
Here's the email I got from Darci and Chris...
---------------------------------------------
Friends and Family,
We are proud to announce the arrival of Riley Robert Hughes on Friday,
September 14, 2007. He weighed in at 6lbs 13oz and is 20.5-inches long.
Darci went into labor at 12:30 on Friday morning. After 17 hours of labor,
the doctors thought it was in everybody's best interest to perform a
C-Section and Riley arrived at 6:08 Friday evening. We were all given the
okay to go home on Tuesday, Septemer 18th and Riley, Mom and Dad are all
healthy and doing great!

Welcome Riley Robert Hughes!
I'm not sure what the proper etiquette is for this, but I gotta put this on the site soon...Darci had Riley Robert Hughes on Friday night, September 14th - one day after her birthday! He was 6 pounds, 13 ounces. I'm not sure if the spelling is correct, but the report from Grandma is that he's cute as a button.
I'll post photos as soon as I get them!

AMS 10K
Erika and I ran our last running event of the year, I think, on Saturday and both set personal records and both got 3rd in our age groups - it was the AMS 10K sponsored by my work and for the United Way. It was really fun and challenging run with lots more hills than we remembered from last year. It was pretty cool to hear "In third place for the women, Erika Lohn."

Photo of the Week - Week of 9/16/07
Here's this week's photo of the week - it's a bit artsy...I actually didn't take any pictures this week (boo), but we did a lot of fun stuff this weekend - we ran a 10K, went out to Menard's to celebrate a few things, biked from by my work around Lake Calhoun and watched football with the Granbergs and some friends.
This was taken on Labor Day when Erika, Abbie and I went biking. I did a little editing to make add the frame, make it black and white and keep the pink and purple.

A Bit of Trivia
Today was the first day there was Mrs. Lohn was teaching students in Minnesota Public Schools since 1983. I was in 4th grade and my mom taught 6th grade in the same school. Note Erika taught here last year, but she wasn't Mrs. Lohn.

Photo of the Week - Week of 9/2/07
Here's Abbie and Erika swimming at the cabin on Sunday before Labor Day - note this was a couple of hours before Erika landed her first ever wake to wake 180 on a wake board - it was awesome!
